Cost-benefit, sensitivity and risk analysis related to wind power plant project

Abstract

This paper describes the basic parts, operation and production characteristics of wind power plants and their connection to the power grid. The basic structure of the costs of the construction of wind farms is stated, and a model for the analysis of the economic profitability of the construction of a wind farm is developed. The basic economic parameters used in the analysis of the profitability of the project are defined. On the chosen test example of the wind power plant, an analysis of the economic profitability of the construction was carried out with regard to the currently valid purchase prices of electricity and the current level of costs. A sensitivity analysis and a risk analysis (based on Monte Carlo simulation) were performed with regard to the selected input parameters of the model.
